Salatiga, Indonesia – 6 August 2026 – More than 350 lecturers, researchers, students, and education practitioners from four universities across Indonesia and Malaysia gathered virtually for the International Visiting Lecturer (IVL) 2026, an international academic forum dedicated to fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange in education, science, and data analytics.
Held under the theme “Emerging Technologies and Their Applications in Education, Science, and Data Analytics,” the event highlighted the growing importance of international partnerships in responding to the rapid advancement of digital technologies and their impact on higher education.
International Visiting Lecturer 2026 was jointly organized by Universitas Indraprasta PGRI (UNINDRA), Indonesia, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Kelantan, Malaysia, Universitas PGRI Silampari (UNPARI), Indonesia, Universitas Muhammadiyah Sukabumi (UMMI), Indonesia, in collaboration with PT Sinergi Ilmiah Indonesia (PT SILINDO) as a strategic partner in advancing international academic engagement.
The Opening Ceremony featured remarks from distinguished university leaders, including Prof. Dr. Mohd Afadi Mat Rani, Rector of Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Kelantan, Malaysia, and Prof. Dr. H. Sumaryoto, Rector of Universitas Indraprasta PGRI.
During his address, Prof. Dr. Mohd Afadi Mat Rani expressed his appreciation for PT SILINDO’s contribution to strengthening international academic collaboration.
“I would also like to convey my highest appreciation to Dr. Meida Rachmawati, Director of PT Sinergi Ilmiah Indonesia (PT SILINDO), whose visionary leadership, dedication, and relentless efforts have been instrumental in fostering strategic partnerships among higher education institutions throughout the region.”
He further highlighted PT SILINDO’s role in connecting universities and facilitating sustainable academic cooperation.

The event was officially inaugurated by Prof. Dr. H. Sumaryoto, marking the beginning of a forum designed to encourage international collaboration and the exchange of ideas in addressing emerging challenges in higher education.
One of the key highlights of the event was the Symbolic International Collaboration Ceremony, featuring the symbolic presentation of the Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) and Implementation Arrangement (IA). The ceremony reflected the participating institutions’ shared commitment to expanding cooperation in academic exchange, collaborative research, scientific publications, visiting lecturer programmes, international conferences, and other initiatives that contribute to educational excellence.
The academic programme featured two distinguished keynote speakers.
Professor Dr. Mohd Sazili Shahibi from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Kelantan delivered a keynote lecture entitled “Embracing Digital Culture in the Virtual University,” exploring how digital culture is reshaping higher education and accelerating institutional transformation in an increasingly connected world.
The second keynote lecture was presented by Dr. Arfatin Nurrahmah, M.Pd. from Universitas Indraprasta PGRI. Her presentation, “Emerging Technologies in Mathematics Education: Bridging Abstract Concepts with Local Wisdom,” demonstrated how technological innovation can be integrated into mathematics education while preserving local wisdom and cultural values.
Throughout the programme, participants actively engaged in discussions on digital transformation, innovative teaching and learning, collaborative research, and the future of international academic partnerships. The event concluded with the symbolic presentation of certificates to both keynote speakers in recognition of their valuable contributions.
